Skin Rejuvenation and Tightening in Reno
Aerolase® skin rejuvenation and tightening is a laser treatment that uses advanced technology to address various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and skin laxity, by stimulating collagen production and improving skin tone and texture.
SKIN TIGHTENING & AEROLASE REJUVENATION IN RENO
Skin rejuvenation should be matched to what is actually changing in your skin
If you are looking for skin tightening in Reno, the first question is how much laxity is present and what is actually creating the change you see. Fine lines, uneven tone, redness, brown pigment, rough texture and early skin looseness do not all come from the same process, and they do not all respond to the same treatment.
Bella Derma uses the Aerolase Neo Elite 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser as one option for non-surgical facial skin tightening and skin rejuvenation when the concern is appropriate for a non-ablative approach. Depending on the goal, Aerolase may be used alone or sequenced with PRX Derm Perfexion, microneedling, VAMP Advanced or injectables.
The goal is not to promise a surgical lift from a laser. It is to improve skin quality, support collagen remodeling, and address selected early laxity while preserving natural expression and choosing the right treatment at the right time.
WHAT AEROLASE MAY ADDRESS
Skin tightening and rejuvenation are related—but they are not the same goal
Skin tightening usually means improving the appearance of mild or early laxity and supporting a firmer-looking surface over time. Skin rejuvenation is broader and can include fine lines, uneven tone, redness, pigment, texture and overall skin quality. Aerolase Neo Elite can be used within a treatment plan for selected signs of aging and photodamage, but the most appropriate target depends on your skin tone, recent sun exposure, pigment history, degree of laxity and dominant concern.
If loose skin is moderate or advanced, a non-surgical laser may not create the degree of lifting a patient wants. In that situation, a different modality or surgical consultation may be more appropriate than repeatedly escalating cosmetic laser treatment. If the lower-face concern is actually fat beneath the chin rather than laxity, Kybella for double chin reduction may be the more relevant treatment conversation.
HOW THE NEO ELITE WORKS
One wavelength can interact with pigment, blood vessels and deeper tissue
The Neo Elite uses a 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength delivered with Aerolase’s 650-microsecond pulse technology. In rejuvenation treatments, energy can be directed toward different chromophores and tissue depths depending on the treatment objective.
That matters because visible aging is usually layered. Brown pigment involves melanin. Redness and visible vessels involve hemoglobin. Texture and laxity involve deeper structural changes. The treatment settings—not simply the device name—determine what is being targeted.
Aerolase’s manufacturer describes the Neo Elite as part of its rejuvenation platform for concerns including fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, sun damage, laxity and texture irregularities.
SKIN TONE & PIGMENT MATTER
Rejuvenation for darker skin requires pigment-aware planning
The 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength is widely used when treating patients with more epidermal melanin because it penetrates more deeply than many shorter wavelengths. Aerolase specifically positions its 650-microsecond Neo Elite technology for treatment across a broad range of skin types.
That does not mean every patient can be treated the same way. Recent tanning, melasma tendency, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, medications, active inflammation and prior laser reactions can all change the plan.
For patients with pigment-prone skin, avoiding unnecessary inflammation is part of the rejuvenation strategy—not an afterthought.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Results are usually progressive, not a one-session transformation
Some patients notice a fresher or more even appearance relatively early, but collagen remodeling and cumulative pigment or vascular improvement generally develop over time. A treatment series is often more useful than judging the technology after a single session.
The number and spacing of treatments should depend on the concern, baseline skin condition, response, season, sun exposure and whether other treatments are being sequenced into the plan. Maintenance may also make sense for patients who want to preserve gains as skin continues to age.
RIGHT TREATMENT, RIGHT SEQUENCE
Aerolase is not automatically the best answer for every rejuvenation goal
Different treatments solve different problems. At Bella Derma, the consultation is meant to determine which modality fits the concern rather than forcing every patient into the same device.
Aerolase Neo Elite
Useful when tone, redness, selected pigment, texture and overall skin quality overlap.
Aerolase optionsPRX Derm Perfexion
Useful when biostimulation, brightness and surface quality are priorities without needles.
PRX in RenoMicroneedling / VAMP
Useful when controlled mechanical remodeling and texture-focused treatment are needed.
VAMP microneedlingInjectables
Useful when dynamic wrinkles, muscle activity or volume—not skin quality alone—are driving the concern.
Injectable optionsTHE BELLA DERMA APPROACH
The right skin-tightening plan starts with the degree of laxity—not the machine
May Belle Fellenz, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC evaluates the location and degree of laxity, skin quality, prior treatment history, medications, pigment tendency, tolerance for downtime and the patient’s actual goal before recommending a sequence.
That may mean Aerolase alone. It may mean spacing Aerolase around PRX, microneedling or injectables. And sometimes it means not treating yet—especially when recent sun exposure, irritation or another factor raises the risk of an avoidable reaction.
Bella Derma’s approach is intentionally conservative: right treatment, right time, right sequence.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Aerolase skin rejuvenation FAQ
Does Aerolase skin rejuvenation hurt?
Most patients describe Neo Elite treatment as manageable and relatively quick, but sensation varies with the treatment area and settings. Bella Derma does not promise a pain-free experience.
Is there downtime?
Neo Elite rejuvenation is generally used as a non-ablative treatment, so downtime is typically limited compared with resurfacing procedures. Temporary redness or warmth can still occur.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no universal number. The appropriate series depends on the target, baseline severity, skin response, season and whether Aerolase is being combined or alternated with another treatment.
Can Aerolase tighten loose skin?
It may support improvement in mild laxity and overall skin quality, but it is not a substitute for surgery when significant skin excess or structural descent is the main issue.
Can it treat pigmentation and redness at the same visit?
Sometimes multiple visible concerns can be addressed in one plan, but settings and treatment priorities must be individualized. Melasma-prone or pigment-reactive skin requires particular caution.
Is Aerolase appropriate for darker skin?
The Neo Elite’s 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength and 650-microsecond pulse technology are used across a broad range of skin tones. Individual risk factors still matter, so skin type alone should never replace a clinical assessment.
PATIENT PERSPECTIVE
Long-term guidance matters
Skin rejuvenation is rarely one isolated appointment. Patients often value having someone who understands how prior treatments, changing goals and skin response fit together over time.
“May is a true expert! She really supports you with your skin/look goals from start to finish.”
